The Winter Olympics. So fun to watch these amazing athletes, one can get lost in the splendor of it all. It is a snowy day in Denver, but I want you to resist the temptation to curl up with a blanket in front of the fireplace and TV binge the Olympics. Instead use these winter games to motivate you to move your body. Maybe try a fun winter sport: go for a snow hike, visit your local ice skating rink, snowshoe or plan a ski day – downhill or cross-country. Exercise is a great way to boost endorphins and fight off the winter blues!
Another tip to ward off winter blues? Have you noticed how the athletes all cheer for each other, even though they are in competition? We are often more kind to others than we are to ourselves. Pay attention to your self-talk this week. Be your own cheerleader for a change. Practice self-love!
