This is the absolute best way to get your produce! Hands down.
Why local? Nutrient degradation begins as soon as the produce leaves the ground/tree/bush. The vegetables that you buy (at a great price by the way) were picked early that morning and are fresh for you. When produce is picked before it is ripe, it is full of “anti-nutrients”, defenses the plant uses to protect itself until its fruit is mature and ready to spread its seed.
Why buy in season? That is when the plant contains the maximum amount of nutrients and is ready to be consumed. And ready to make you healthy and happy!
Why organic? To avoid pesticides like Glyphosate which causes cancer, disrupts our endocrine system (eg hormones and thyroid) and wreaks havoc on our gut microbiome. Just say no!
